Greetings from the Youth room.

“Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.”    Proverbs 22:6

When you find yourself reading this, know that there are many anxious parents and kids preparing for the first day of school. It is no different for us here at church. With the start of the new school year there's also the start of Sunday School, Confirmation. Youth Group. All of which bring some level of anxiety for me but also a feeling of excitement. There is nothing more exciting than watching the growth development of a young persons faith journey.

“Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.”

On September 10th we will kick things off with our Rally Sunday celebration. The Sunday school kids and parents will gather in the sanctuary at 9:30 for songs and worship and you the congregation are invited as well. Our older kids are welcome to attend as well.

On September 13th we will begin our Confirmation Program with a Student/Parents meeting at 7:00 pm with class studies starting the 20th at 6:00pm. This years studies will be The Ten                      Commandments and The Lords Prayer. We will also help celebrate the 500th Anniversary of the Reformation.

Sunday the 17th at 9:45 will be our 1st Youth Discussion. I extend an invite to our young people 7th-12th grade for a time of fellowship and conversation about God and their life in there world.  Hot Carmel Rolls will be served! Also that afternoon we will be gathering with the P.R.A.Y. Group at Thea's Pumpkin Patch for an adventure through the corn maze.

So as you can see there are many things happening here at Trinity. God’s Spirit is alive and I invite each of you to feel his presence, hold everyone in prayer and start this new school year off "In The Way of The Lord!"

Blessings,

Allen
